The past kitchen disaster
Wednesday, May 1, 20137:34 PM

I have always been avoiding the kitchen since I learn how to walk. I have never had any interest in cooking nor do I have any interest in baking. As I grow older, I tried to whip out a dish for my family but only ending up burning everything. And from that day on, I told myself to never step foot in the kitchen except meal times.

I soon discover that the most random thing I enjoy doing is flipping through a cookbook, looking through recipes after recipes given that I am allergic to the kitchen (given the past experience I had) but I still wouldn't step into the kitchen. It was rather odd for someone who use to work in the kitchen during my school days

The world we live in is so typical to judge a girl who has no interest in cooking or whatsoever, but it does bother me a little when cooking was being brought out during conversations.

I didn't realize how cooking is essential for the living til I was put in-charge of all my siblings' meal. For the first few weeks, I continuously bought food for them until I realize how much I had spent on just the food itself. And family of 6 isn't a small number.

I woke up one morning and told myself, I shall whip out something for my siblings and my dad. Went to Cold Storage and grab whatever that came out from my mind. Once I reached home, I made the most easiest to whip out, Tomato based pasta with ham.

Though I am not a big fan of tomato base pasta, I still made it considering that majority of my family members enjoy that.

Lesson learn: Though I may have freak my mom out on the food I have manage to destroy, I shouldn't never give up just because of the number of failures I have been through. And right now, I am planning to serve my dad and my siblings fried rice wrapped with egg topped with spicy chili sauce.
