change is visible whether we see it or not

i got a friend of mine a belated birthday present. a ring. a one of a kind ring. she adores rings. the reason why her belated birthday present is still with me? i have not seen her for months. it seems like we are no longer close compared when we were colleagues a year ago. why? i asked that myself everyday. it hurts. and sometimes, it hurt like hell. but i guess that's life.
meredith grey once said, "every cell in the human body regenerates on average every 7 years, like snakes in our own way. we've shed our skin. biologically, we're brand new people. we may look the same. we probably do. the change is visible. at least not most of us. but we're all changed. completely. forever. when we say things like people don't change, it drives scientist crazy. because changes literally the only constant in all of science. energy. matter. it's always changing. morphy. merging. growing. dying. it's the way people try not to change, that's unnatural. the way we cling to what things were instead of letting it be like they are. the way we cling to old memories instead of forming new ones. the way we insists of believing despite scientific indication that any in this lifetime is permanent. change is constant. how we experience changes that's up to us. it can feel like death or it can feel like a second chance in life. if we open our fingers, losen up our grips. go with it. it can feel like pure adrenaline. like in any moment, we can have another chance in life. like it any moment, we can be born all over again."
i guess it is time for me to grow up and accept the changes.
